Most days I'm somewhere between two things: building a lot, and feeling like the building is partly how I cope. I've felt out of step with people for most of my life, in ways I'm still trying to understand. It's shaped how I think, and honestly, how much I isolate without meaning to.
I put that into the work now. As Mental Health Director for the EUS, I ran the 2026 Wellbeing Survey to get real numbers behind what a lot of students go through quietly. I'm doing the same thing through architecture and through ArchIterate and Canopy: trying to build things that connect people instead of just occupying them.
I don't have this fully figured out. I'm someone who's better at building support for others than asking for it myself, and I'm trying to get better at that part too.
